How do I start a self-drive booking?

What is the minimum hire period?

Self-drive hire is charged in 24-hour days, with a minimum of 24 hours. Chauffeur and airport trips use a 10-hour duty day and are quoted by staff.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel 48 hours or more before pickup for a refund of the reservation payment, minus any confirmed payment-processor fee. Cancellations inside 48 hours incur a fee. If you do not arrive and do not notify us, the reservation payment is forfeited. Staff process cancellations in this version of the site.

When is the reservation payment taken?

A reservation payment is due when you book. The share of the rental total is shown on the rental requirements page. The remaining balance is due before pickup.

Are there hidden fees?

The quote shows the rental total before you pay. Mileage for ordinary use inside Ghana is included. Extra charges apply only for things outside the agreement, such as traffic fines, damage beyond the insurance excess, or use outside Ghana.

Can I rent a car if I am under 25?

Self-drive renters and extra drivers must be 25 or older and hold a full driving licence. If you need a driven car, request chauffeur or airport transfer instead.

Can I add an extra driver?

Yes, if they are 25 or older, hold a full licence, and present ID. Only drivers named on the rental agreement may drive.

Is insurance included?

Hire includes the motor cover required to put the vehicle on a Ghana road. Optional extra cover can be arranged. You remain responsible for the insurance excess, traffic fines, and damage outside the policy. The security deposit amount is confirmed at pickup.

Can I take the car outside Ghana?

No. Nii Plants rental cars are for use inside Ghana only. Crossing a land border is not permitted.

How do I reach you after hours?

The Plantsville office is open Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 17:00, and closed on Sunday. For breakdowns or an arranged airport pickup, call the published mobile. That line is for support, not a 24-hour walk-in desk.

How long is a chauffeur hire?

A chauffeur duty day is 10 hours. Short jobs start at three hours. Overtime and intercity trips are quoted by staff. Self-drive uses 24-hour days instead.

What documents do I need at pickup?

Bring a full driving licence (not a learner permit), a Ghana Card or passport, and the card or payment method used for the reservation. Named extra drivers must bring the same documents. A refundable security deposit is taken at pickup; the amount depends on the vehicle class.

Do you offer airport pickup?

Yes. Share your flight details when you book or enquire. Airport transfers and evening collections until 23:00 are arranged with the operations team. The Plantsville office is open Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 17:00.

How do I return or extend the hire?

Accepted Answer

Return the car to the agreed location in the same condition, with the agreed fuel. To extend, call us as early as you can. Extensions depend on availability.
